Easy Street - Week 1

These are the selection of fabrics.  I may not be using all of these but wanted to have them handy to select from.  Notice that some have a blend of the colors, like the grey with purple flowers.  Since this is a mystery, I am keeping my options open and will select what pleases my eyes.

The first week we had to sew 3.5" blocks.  Grey with black on white four patches.  I found zebra patterns and polka dots.  I was afraid that my black may be a little overpowering on my white fabric but that is the beauty of scrappy quilts......there is no wrong!

Check out my Sears Kenmore 158.  I picked this beauty up at the Goodwill, reduced to $4.99.  A little oil and cleaning and she purrs like a kitten and sews great.

The cabinet is even in great shape.  The color of the machine looked more lavender in the store, but looks silvery in the photo.

And here they are: 192 3.5" four patch, minus the whining.
